APLA CODE OF CONDUCT 1.Members of the Association will conduct themselves in a responsible manner at all times towards protecting and furthering the interests of prospectors. 2.Members will abide by the provisions of the WA Mining Act 1978 and Regulations, and follow the guidelines in the Prospecting WA booklet issued by the Dept of Mines and Petroleum. 3.Members will act to support APLA and prospecting in general.
4.Members will act to support APLA and prospecting in general, including on Social Media sites and public forums.
5. Members will abide by tenement holders legitimate requests at all times when prospecting on a granted tenement. 6. Members will minimise environmental impact and maintain and leave clean campsites. 7. Members will abide by main roads closures and prevent unnecessary damage to pastoral roads and tracks. 8. Members will display courtesy and consideration to others in the field and maintain a respectable distance from their activities. Breaches of the code will be investigated by APLA, and conduct found to be detrimental to the interests of the Association will result in the member(s) being disciplined. This may result in expulsion under Section 9 of APLA’s constitution.
